Built for institutions, foundations and treasuries. Borrow against your digital assets, or make capital available to borrowers.
Download platform overview (PDF)We match individual lenders and borrowers, with each trade agreed separately. You participate in a defined transaction rather than supplying capital to a shared lending pool.
Agree your rate before the trade begins. With fixed pricing for the agreed term, borrowers know their financing cost and lenders know their contracted return.
Discuss financing against a broader range of digital assets. Eligible collateral and haircuts are assessed individually, allowing terms to reflect the asset and the transaction.
Our margin-call process gives borrowers an opportunity to add collateral or reduce their exposure before liquidation, subject to the agreed terms and applicable thresholds.
Foundations and treasuries often hold significant digital assets but need working capital. Armada lets you borrow against those holdings, keep your exposure, and agree terms without selling.
Lenders with capital to deploy earn on overcollateralized, short-tenor transactions. Your capital is allocated to specific borrower positions; Armada is your counterparty.
Assets pledged on Armada are held with Coinbase Prime custody. Armada coordinates the arrangement between borrower, lender and custodian, and terms are discussed, not dictated.
Armada Reserve is an institutional secured lending and repo desk for digital assets. Borrowers post collateral and draw liquidity without selling; lenders put idle capital to work against specific borrower positions. Armada is your counterparty: we document terms, instruct the custodian, and manage the trade.
A repurchase agreement, or repo, involves selling an asset and agreeing to repurchase it on a future date at an agreed price. It provides the seller with liquidity while the asset supports the transaction. The difference between the sale and repurchase prices is the financing cost. On Armada, repo-style trades are documented with Armada as counterparty.
Once approved and onboarded, submit a request for quote with your funding needs and proposed collateral. Armada comes back with terms (amount, duration, rate, and haircut). Settlement follows once approvals and checks are complete. Coinbase Prime is in custody of the assets for the life of the loan.
Once approved, set a standing offer with size, minimum rate, accepted collateral, and maximum LTV, or respond to RFQs through Armada. Your capital is allocated to specific borrower positions; Armada is your counterparty. Submitting an offer does not guarantee deployment or earnings.
Eligibility depends on custody support, liquidity, and our risk assessment. We accept major digital assets, and other assets are reviewed on request. Contact us if you have a specific asset in mind.
A haircut is the difference between the assessed value of the collateral and the amount of funding provided. For example, a 20% haircut on collateral valued at $1,000,000 would support $800,000 of funding. Haircuts vary by asset and transaction.
As LTV nears the agreed threshold, you get margin-call warnings and a window to add collateral or reduce the loan. If the liquidation threshold is hit, there is no cure period and Armada can liquidate. Terms are set in your agreement; understand the risks before you trade.
Coinbase Prime is in custody of the assets supporting each transaction. Armada uses access controls, multi-factor authentication, and approval processes to help protect accounts and trading activity. Armada has completed an independent security assessment; details are available on request.
